"The only time I saw him was during our pre-season tour of South Africa. I thought he was BY FAR the best right back during the tour in comparison to Zabaleta and whoever else played in that position.

I'm surprised he's got no further than the bench this season as I thought he looked seriously good in defence AND going forward. In this same match Vidal replaced Zab who was moved into central midfield and we looked a wholly better unit for it. Zab is a better defensive midfielder than he is right-back from what he showed.

Apparently Vidal is equally as good a right-midfielder as he is right-back. He was fast, skilful and made intelligent runs and was biting in the tackle. From what I recall, he was injured for the 1st part of the season, but has since fully recovered. I was really looking forward to seeing him break into the 1st team, but I dunno why he hasn't."
