DEPARTURE LOUNGE
- GATE 1

Jeff Kenna
When he signed -
Good solid pro, loads of experience, possible captain, good signing.
When he played -
Had some great spells (the run in to the play off year he was superb) and some not so great ones. Constant rumours of bickering with Burley didn't help endear him to anyone. By the start of last season he was reduced to Warren Barton status of former good player gone so shit it's embarrassing.
When he left -
We thought it was overdue.

Pablo Mills
When he signed -
Looked well built and solid. Could be a good player for us when we rebuild for promotion.
When he played -
Never let us down but never set the world on fire either. I always had the nagging doubt with Pablo that he was another Steve Elliot, good lad, good passion but not quite good enough for DCFC. The lower divisions always looked a good bet for him.
When he left -
He got lifted by the filth.

Kevin Poole
When he signed -
He came as a goalkeeping coach as a direct replacement for the departing Malcolm Webster. No-one considered for one moment that he would end up playing for the first team.
When he played -
Amid the controversy of Campy's Dad's rant on radio Derby, Poole never let us down on the pitch and actually had a couple of cracking games. What he did on the training ground however is a different story and we'll never probably know the full story of how much bad influence this had on Campy.
When he left -
I didn't even realise until we got Preston's goalkeeping Coach.

Paul Thirlwell
When he signed -
There was a headline of the official site on a Friday morning saying 'new signing announced at 1pm press conference today'. It was Thirls, bugger.

When he played - He was a poor man's Simo Valakari, seemingly unable to pass the ball forwards. As his appearances became more infrequent, they seemed to get worse. Westley pretty much bombed him out of the first team picture and Billy Davies was in no rush to reverse the decision.
When he left -
Clearly surplus to requirements (and shit!), he's no loss. Although he's only on a 3 month loan, it's a safe bet he won't be appearing for DCFC again.
