Barometer - December 2006

One theory is that since the bang on the head he got at QPR, "Sportif" (think about it) is living in a parallel universe thinking he's RIo Ferdinand.

Automatic Promotion - Right, this not blind optimism or misguided enthusiasm after a couple of wins. The Rams are genuine contenders for a top two spot. To our mind it's Birmingham, us, West Brom and Southampton. Those killer January moves could just tip the balance.
The Renaissance Men - It looked all over at DCFC for Boets & Big Dave. However they're both currently contributing massively to some of the best defensive displays we've seen for years. The emergence of Boets is particularly astonishing and fair play to Billy for leaving him in the team (and telling him to forget the Cruyff turns).
Dean Leacock - More amazing work on the training ground. How can a guy who looked so shit not two months ago now play so superbly???? A few more months of this might just see big Stevie with a challenger for player of the year.
The Housemartins - The full time whistle against Palace was greeted with an immediate blast of Happy Hour. Not sure why or how this happened but it was good for me. Now lets run out to 'Club Foot' and celebrate goals with 'Chelsea Dagger'.
Bookmakers - Bookies across the board don't seem to be having DCFC as genuine contenders at all. Good. The Ramspace boys have been cleaning up in recent weeks, just watch teaming up with Arsenal for those 'nailed on' doubles.

It's Happy Hour again, I think I
might be happy if we hammer
Leeds again.

At least there's one team that young Lewin can still get a game for.

Phil Brown - The tan man is back as caretaker boss of Hull. "I'm trying to buy the Chairman time, to make the right decision to take this club forward". Nice one Phil, well that's you fucked off and Pardew or Dowie in then, you sycophantic twat.
Lewin Nyatanga - Where did it all go wrong for the boy wonder? Not even in the squad for Sunderland last week. Don't forget how young he is, he'll be back soon, exactly where it's hard to say at the moment.
Big Tom's Transfer - I know this is nothing new but with his scorching goal at Man City yesterday and Gadsby's recent revelation that we have so far only received £600k from Spurs, I just get more and more angry about this. Forget the (alleged) fraud, someone wants locking up for this travesty of a transfer deal alone.
Dave Jones - Was at pains to point out how Cardiff "ripped us apart" and how Giles goal "9/10 goes out the ground" (although in the next match against Barnsley he did it 3 more times, including the disallowed one). Who's laughing now as the Rams march on and his Cardiff side are in tailspin.
Leeds United - They were bottom of the barometer last month and I see no reason to move them now. Imagine that last game of the season if we had a chance of going up and sending them down........

"Go on then, an extra £100k for 200 1st team appearances and a pre season friendly if he plays for England. My cuts easy, flat £2m payable now".
